In the first part of today’s show, we explored how Google cut a deal with Reddit for AI training data and put a pause on Gemini AI image generation, controversially refusing to showcase White people. Then, we delved into Tyler Perry’s decision to put an $800M studio expansion on hold after witnessing the capabilities of OpenAI’s Sora, stating, “Jobs Are Going to Be Lost.” Following that, we discussed a Norwegian lawmaker’s bold move to nominate Elon Musk for the Nobel Peace Prize. Lastly, we looked at a fascinating study suggesting ADHD traits may have evolved to provide foraging advantages.

Today’s unpopular opinion was that in-person meetings are obsolete.

In the second half of the show, we asked 100 humans to name a reason someone would have their camera off in an online meeting. We also examined the end of Japan’s millennia-old ‘naked man festival’ due to the country’s population decline, and discussed the Republican lawmakers’ calls for Biden to delete his campaign’s TikTok account.
