In the first part of today’s show, we looked at what bonobos can teach us about female power and cooperation, and how their social structure challenges many assumptions about leadership, conflict, and gender dynamics in both the animal kingdom and human society. Then we talked about a Spanish region being ranked among the most welcoming places in the world in 2026, and what makes a place feel truly welcoming to visitors and locals alike.

Today’s unpopular opinion was that hotdesking is actually better than having assigned desks at work. We discussed flexibility, collaboration, office politics, and why some people love the freedom while others absolutely hate it.

In the second half of the show, we asked 100 humans: Name something you might see on someone’s desk at work. The answers ranged from the obvious office essentials to some surprisingly personal desk items.
