In the first part of today’s show, we looked at updates on the Dublin to NY portal shutdown due to inappropriate behaviour and another yacht sinking after being rammed by orcas in the Strait of Gibraltar. Then we talked about how last summer was the hottest in more than 2,000 years. Finally, we discovered that a recent study finds not all failures lead to learning.
Today’s unpopular opinion is that learning cursive writing is unnecessary.
In the second half of the show, we asked 100 humans to name something they learned at school that was useless. Later we saw a grandfather who paid a homeless woman $20 to watch his granddaughter while he got drunk at a bar for hours, according to the police.
